The LG 32LH5000 is another of LG’s inexpensive televisions which are offered in the United Kingdom. This set is a thirty-two inch television which has a 100 Hz processor along with 1080 p resolution. The picture adjustment is very flexible and there is adequate support for extensive multimedia.
Although the LG 32LH5000 television is less expensive than some other models, it still offers a minimalistic style, a gleaming finish and subtle curves. The picture is surrounded with a black bezel and a transparent lip extending just past the bezel.
Easy connectivity to and from the LG 32LH5000 is ensured with the four HDMI ports, the USB port and the RS-232 port. These ports make playback of audio, JPEG and DivX videos possible along with integration into a full AV system.
The 100 Hz processor is twice that offered by most other television sets in the same price range. This additional refresh rate will allow the LG 32LH5000 to overcome the motion blur that is found in many of these sets.
When browsing thought the menus on the LG 32LH5000, you are going to find two presets for the pictures that have been labeled ISF. ISF or Image Science Foundation offers an in home service to calibrate sets that have sufficient flexibility, as this set has. This is a fee service.
The LG 32LH5000 does offer extensive adjustments. Among those adjustments are dynamic colour, noise reduction, gamma presets and contrast boosters. The strength of the 100 Hz processor can also be varied.
LG does remember the technologically challenged persons and installs a method for making the adjustments through the picture wizard on the LG 32LH5000 which is designed to guide the least experienced user through a series of procedures that will cause you to have a great looking picture.
If you insist on a set which offers the blackest of blacks in contrast, then you will find that the LG 32LH5000, like many other of the LCD sets is unable to provide what you want. This set is found to be about average among LCD sets in the black response times. The problem is worse when there you are out of the forty degree premium viewing angle. It does cause some problems with dark scenes.
The good points do outweigh this problem for most viewers. The pictures on the LG 32LH5000 are extremely bright and colours are both rich and vibrant. The on screen movements are very clear.
The LG 32LH5000 is very light in weight, weighting less than thirteen kilograms, including the stand. Sets may be mounted on wall or used as tabletop versions.
Sound for the LG 32LH5000 is excellent for the included speakers. Voices are easily understood, heard and have a natural, not tinny tone, which is a rarity among most televisions today.
LG gives the LG 32LH5000 a 60,000 hour lifespan, which is vast improvement over older LCD sets. Sixty thousand hours is 6. 8 years at twenty-four hours per day operation.
LG’s 32LH5000 is a good television at a good price. Its biggest drawback is common to most LCD sets. That is the inability to produce a true black tone. However the brightens of this set among televisions can make up for the lack of the black tone.
